Based in Dummerston, VT, Lanterman Woodworks specializes in designing and building custom furniture, carpentry and timber frame accents. Each project is uniquely tailored to blend seamlessly with the needs of the client and their home and is built to last for generations to come. By integrating time-honored methods and aesthetics with evolving practices and sensibilities, Lanterman Woodworks' creations are designed to enhance modern, traditional and rustic environments.

About the Owner:
Evan Lanterman grew up in Saxtons River, Vermont with a strong interest in art and design and their inherent relationship to nature. He graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 2001 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design and made Rhode Island his home for over twenty years before moving back to Vermont with his family. After his time at RISD, Evan spent the next three years building hand-cut timber frame homes and accessory buildings with a local timber framing company. In 2004, Evan began to work independently as a design/build residential contractor specializing in timber frame accents and frame to finish carpentry. He quickly became known for his craftsmanship and attention to detail. Over time, Evan also began to focus on building furniture from locally sourced materials and milling wide slab lumber from salvaged trees. Strengthened by Evan's comprehensive background, Lanterman Woodworks provides full service custom woodworking from concept to creation.
