From there, the exciting process of slab selection begins. You will have the opportunity to participate in this process through a combination of photo sharing and virtual meetings or in-person appointments.
We maintain an inventory of slabs in a variety of species and source additional material from a small group of other local sawmills that share our interest in urban tree salvage. Available species include a wide range of domestic hardwoods including ash, beech, black walnut, cherry, elm, maple, and white oak, among others.
Most projects will be completed using material all from one tree, resulting in a harmonious assembly of lumber that inherently belongs together. This individualized approach means that each order is truly one of a kind in its transformation from tree to table.
